What Is Your Emotional Response When You Hear “Finance”?

I recently saw this great article on Entrepreneur.com about the mistakes people make when making a pitch.

https://www.entrepreneur.com/leadership/mistakes-people-make-when-theyre-pitching-a-product-or-idea/463975?utm_campaign=Daily%20Newsletter&utm_medium=email&_hsmi=285148820&_hsenc=p2ANqtz-8PqMOdk13qV2oX8q2cKJentVo_d_uisrAz41knC4orO6iNUtCXET8DyBdULUCZEIPBfKCZCA1g-ATeXMJMgiQyBvlRKQ&utm_content=285148820&utm_source=hs_email.

Most of us forget that people buy because of an emotional reaction.

It made me think about the negative reactions most business owners and CEOs feel when they need to talk with their finance person.

They clench up and just want the person to stay away.

That’s because finance people are perceived as bearers of bad news or naysayers.

It does not have to be this way.

A great finance person can make you feel more relaxed because you know they have your back. You will welcome talking to them because if they give you bad news, it will be in enough time to fix the problem. They can even give you the solution you’re looking for, making your job more fun.

If you want to find a finance person who is a pleasure to work with and can make you feel more secure, reach out to me.

I can share case histories of finance making businesses more profitable and enjoyable to run.
