In 2022 I was forced to give up my beloved Blackberry cold turkey because my provider was no longer supporting it. Reluctantly, I replaced with it an iPhone.
Once I got used to it, my iPhone became an indispensable tool because I could do so many things better than I was able to previously.
Now, I’m asking myself why I was being so stubborn and reluctant to upgrade. My productivity could have been way better for years.
When the Blackberry first came out, it was a transformative product snatched up by savvy business people.
Then, even newer technology made the Blackberry obsolete.
The lesson is: Don’t be stubborn like me.
Be willing to try innovative finance software that’s cheaper and better than legacy systems. Use innovative practices that newer team members can bring.
I’ve found that the businesses that have made the switch find that their head of finance has become a true strategic partner to management and beloved by the CEO.
