When I was growing up, I was told the holiday spirit was to give rather than receive, which was hard to swallow.
As a recruiter for 30+ years, the message now has more meaning.
Most job seekers concentrate on what they want to receive.
A much better strategy is to show potential employers what you can give. The best way to do that is to highlight what you have accomplished in your current and previous job(s).
If you can show you’ve added value through process improvements (faster closes etc.) or profit improvements, you are GIVING employers a reason to want to talk to you.
Merely listing your job responsibilities is, in my opinion, a big nothing.
