Earlier this year, Snowflake CEO Frank Slootman was featured on the cover of Forbes: “The Outsider: How CEO-For-Hire Frank Slootman Turned Snowflake Into Software’s Biggest-Ever IPO.”
Known as a turnaround expert, his latest triumph is what he did with Snowflake, which had the largest software company IPO ever at $80 billion.
He is an example of how an outsider at the CEO level is capable of transforming good into great.
We feel strongly that there are instances, particularly with small-to-medium-size businesses (SMBs), where the right finance person can play a significant role in the same sort of transformation.
