Rich Bond founded Bond & Company Executive Recruiting & Search in 1986. Bond & Company is a Results-Based Recruiting practice which uses contrarian approaches that unearth financial executives who will solve problems and drive positive change. For the past 25 years, Rich has concentrated on placements in treasury, supply chain finance, strategic pricing and financial planning. His company has a wide range of clients, from Fortune 500 companies, such as PepsiCo and Nestle Waters, to smaller local entities, including Lex Products and Juliska. Bond has placed financial leaders into mid-sized companies where they have driven change and helped the enterprises to grow. Rich has had three articles published in trade journals on the treasury job market and was a session leader at the New York Cash Exchange.
Prior to founding Bond & Company, Rich ran a family business, the Olsten Temporary Services franchise for greater Bridgeport, Connecticut, for two years. In that time he more than doubled sales to over $5 million. He began his career after Wharton at American Can, followed by The Seagram Company Limited. In his 11 years at Seagram, he held seven different jobs, starting on the corporate staff and ending up running a 10-state sales region in the West. Rich also helped reorganize a failing joint venture in Japan with Kirin, helping it turn a profit in 18 months.
Rich graduated from Lehigh University, where he is Class Agent, and received his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Rich is an active member of the Wharton Lead Group, heading up the Westchester and Fairfield Counties group, and is a charter member of the Penn Club.
A believer in giving back, Rich was the President of the Board of A Better Chance of New Canaan for five years. He was active for many years in Boy Scouts and other organizations in the town.
He lives in New Canaan, CT with his wife. Their three children have left the nest and are on their own. Rich and his wife enjoy travel, particularly to European cities.
Judy works part-time doing research and recruiting for Bond & Company. Judy has had her own practice specializing in human resources consulting for small to large NY area organizations during the last fifteen years. Her projects include retained and contingency recruiting and research, HR program design, project management and communications.
Before consulting, Judy held various Human Resources positions with Pitney Bowes, North American Philips Corporation and Pfizer. Judy holds BA in French and English from Fairfield University and a MBA from the University of Connecticut.
Judy and her husband, a contractor, live in Rowayton and have three sons, one of whom has graduated from college the other two who are at UConn.
